How this estimates bitrate
Anchor: 0.08 bits per pixel per frame for H.264 at standard quality. Codec multipliers: MJPEG ×4.5, H.264 ×1.0, H.264 smart ×0.55, H.265 ×0.65, H.265 smart ×0.40. Quality: low ×0.6, standard ×1.0, high ×1.4, maximum ×2.0. Frame rate scales linearly, which is conservative for inter-frame codecs.
Kuwait 61/2015 minimum applies the MOI Res. 5003/2015 recording standard: Full HD 2 MP at 15 fps, H.264, sized at 50% motion activity, retained 120 days. Highest spec sizes each camera group at its chosen model's maximum resolution and frame rate from the Aspire camera database (16,332 models across 72 brands), at maximum quality, recording continuously. H.265 is assumed for models from 2016 on, H.264 before that, and a generic 4K 30 fps ceiling applies where no model is chosen. Custom opens every field per group, including a manual bitrate override for measured numbers from Axis Site Designer or your VMS.
Storage math: 1 Mbps written continuously is 10.8 GB per day. Capacities are decimal TB, matching drive labels. Motion recording trims what gets written, not the network. Cameras stream all day, so bandwidth assumes all streams live.
